He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard M. Ahrens and June K. Ahrens; his wife Editha Labi Ahrens; his daughters, Carrie Earls and Erika Gildehaus; his siblings, Richard Ahrens and Anita Koenig; and his grandchildren, Colton, Ethan, Emily, Elly Mae, Simon and Benjamin. He was also cherished by his family and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations made in his name to the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri.
