He is survived by: his son Timothy Patrick Smith of San Diego, California; his wife Patricia Innis Smith of San Diego, California; his stepdaughters, Christie Crook Craig of Chesapeake, Virginia and Marilyn Crook Naas of Chesapeake, Virginia; his siblings, Jamie Smith (Chris) of Springfield and Susan Bond (Steven Lorcher) of Chesapeake, Virginia; and his nieces and nephews, Erica Smith Miller, James W. Smith III, Brad Lorcher-Bond, John Lorcher-Bond and Lauren Lorcher-Bond.
