With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Vera Lois Murray of Springfield, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 27, 2026 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Spurgeon Wilkerson and Artie Edith Johnson Wilkerson; and her sister Anna Beth Wilkerson Phillips. She is survived by: her husband Jim Murray; her children, Bruce Murray (Barbara) of Houston, Ruth Sorenson (Allin) of Springfield and Douglas Murray (Julie) of Van Buren, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Deanna Sorenson of St. Louis, Lora Anderson (Josh) of Kansas City, Scott Murray of Houston and Sarah Murray of London, England; and her brother Samuel Wilkerson of Licking, Missouri.. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
