He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Hunt and Leona Hunt (Harrison); his brothers, James LeRoy Hunt and Larry Lee Hunt; and his stepchildren, Charity Dow and Eric Dow.

He is survived by: his wife Susan (Jones Dow); his sons, James Hunt, Nathan Hunt, Kevin Hunt (Jessica) and Bradley Hunt; his stepsons, Christopher York (Lisa) and Chuck Dow (Jody); and his siblings, Kathy Hunt (Tommy), Lois Glynn, Phyllis Johnson and Loren Hunt (Tammy) of Bois D'Arc, MO. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
