Viola Mae Tharp Obituary

Viola Mae Tharp, 78, of Springfield passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.

She was born to Clell and Opal Morrow Long on January 13, 1944 in Springfield, MO.

Survivors include her husband, Bennie; three daughters, Vickie Hanson of Rushford, MN., Karen Young of Marionville, MO. and Tracy Jenkins of Ash Grove, MO.; brother, Lloyd Long of Virginia; two sisters, Stella Hoover of Springfield, MO. and Teresa Angel of Morrisville, MO.; 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Leon Long.

Gravesides services will be held at a later date in Patterson Cemetery in Springfield. Arrangements are under the care of Peterson Funeral Chapel.
