She was predeceased by: her husband Hubert "Eugene" Highfill; her son Jesse Highfill; her parents, David Dixon and Barbara Dixon; her in-laws, Hubert and Willa Highfill; and her nephew Dustin Wright.

She is survived by: her daughters, Kara Ashton (Kenson) and Katie Highfill; her grandchildren, Darby, Kreeden, Kenlee Ashton, Jeremiah and Josiah Cook; her siblings, Ronald Dixon, Deandra Dixon, Darla Woods (Billy) and David Dixon (Kallie); and her in-laws, Rebecca, Randall Johnson and Wanda Wright. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
