He was predeceased by: his parents, William Jennings Bryant Erwin and Sarah Patterson; his wife Doris Wray Nix; his son Edward Charles Erwin; and his granddaughter Tamyra Anne Flavell.
He is survived by: his sons, William W. Erwin of Clovis, CA, John A. Erwin of Fairbanks, AK and Douglas W. Erwin of Port Orchard, WA. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
