He was predeceased by: his parents, George Carpenter and Mary Carpenter (Bachman); his former wife Mary Florea; his wives, Margery Easterday and Bertha Carpenter; his daughter Christine Martin; and his grandson Jason Carpenter.
He is survived by: his children, David Carpenter (Karla), Steve Carpenter (Angie), Diane Nation, Deborah Lebow (Rick) and Ronald Carpenter (Alma); and his girlfriend Delores Parrish. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Meierhoffer Funeral Home & Crematory (5005 Frederick Ave, Suite A, St Joseph, MO 64506). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
