He was predeceased by: his parents, Jerry McGonigal and Betty Smith (Burpo); his son Clifton Allen McGonigal; his sister Angela Rustemeyer; and his stepfather Richard K. Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Josie (Licoben); his daughter Joselyn Joy Reed (Carlus); his siblings, Jerry Dale McGonigal Jr. (Suzanne) of Portland, Donald Gene McGonigal (Kristy) of Holts Summit and Brenda Haar of Nixa; and his stepsiblings, Steve Smith (Michelle) of Fairmont, Rick Smith (Connie) of California, Allen Smith (Vickie) of California, Danny Smith (Cecily) of Greenville and Diane Locke of Fulton. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
