Though Aletha may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Smith and Enid Smith (Gonzales); and her husband Tom Smith. She is survived by: her children, Peggy Martin (Leroy) of Steelville, MO, Learoy Smith of Steelville, MO, Chris Copeland (Ronnie) of Bixby, MO, Mary Masterson (Frank) of Sikeston, MO and Kathy Smith (Dan Smith) of Jefferson City, MO.; and her grandchildren, Jimmy Todd (Rachel), Ashley Martin (Kevin Heuer Jr.), Jessica Copeland (Branden Buffington) and Jenny Holland (Josh). She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family.
