He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude William Haffer and Marple Leoma Haffer; his wife Bonnie Haffer; his parents-in-law, Virgil Ransom (Mildred) and Nellie Ransom; his children, Billy Haffer, Jr. and Gayle Haffer; his stepson James "Jimmy" DeClue; his son-in-law Eldon Schlegel; his siblings, Gilbert Haffer and Paula Darlene Brewer; and his siblings-in-law, Ruby Haffer, Mary "Ruth" Haffer, Cleta Haffer, Janet Chandler (Cleo), Sidney Ransom, Wilbur Ransom, Charles Gibson, Melvin DeClue and Laurie Ransom.

He is survived by: his children, Michael Haffer (Carla) of St. Peters, MO and Rose Payne of Cuba, MO; his stepchildren, Diana Pletzyer of Branson, MO, Joseph DeClue (Raylene) of Sullivan, MO, David DeClue of Cuba, MO, Michelle Bensing, Melissa DeClue of Cuba, MO and Dan DeClue of Bourbon, MO; his brothers, Dale Haffer of Steelville, MO, Walter Haffer of Cuba, MO and Phil Haffer (Ruby) of Cuba, MO; his siblings-in-law, Keith Brewer of Collinsville, IL, Ronald Caron (Judy) of Steelville, MO, Johnny Ransom of Steelville, MO, Larry Harmon (Misty) of Cherryville, MO and Ceal Ransom of Steelville, MO; and his friend Jesse McConnell of Cuba, MO. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the funeral home to help the family with final expenses.
