With sadness, we share the passing of Gary Hendrix of Steelville, Missouri. Gary, born on December 29, 1947 in Saint Louis, Missouri, passed away on September 1, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur W. Hendrix and Lida Hendrix. He is survived by: his daughter Corrie Hendrix Gambill (Josh) of St. Louis, MO; his siblings, Dr. Ronald Hendrix (Mariam) of Columbia, MO and Pamela Hutson of Steelville, MO; his brother-in-law Paul Hutson of Steelville, MO; his close friends, Ken of Steelville, MO, Vicky Downing of Steelville, MO, Curtis of Steelville, MO and Tasha Hayes of Steelville, MO; his nieces, Rheanne Griswold (Matt) of Bolivar, MO, Kayla Nix (Josh) of Steelville, MO and Paula Ransom (Aaron) of Steelville, MO; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Annallin, Clarcy, Quinn, Beckham, Clay, Maverick, Parker and Blake. He is also survived by cousins and many friends.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hutson Funeral Home (601 Main St, Steelville, MO 65565). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at the Moutray Cemetery Center.
Burial will be at Moutray Cemetery in Steelville, MO and memorials may be given to the cemetery.
