We are sad to announce that on July 17, 2025, at the age of 68, Mark Avery Sassmann of Steelville, Missouri, born in Washington, Missouri passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Charles Avery Sassmann (Helen); and his stepfather Robert "Bob" Crews. He is survived by: his mother Mary Louise Sassmann of Manchester, MO; his son Seth Sassmann (Haley) of Camdenton, MO; his grandsons, Dean, Jack and Benny Sassmann of Camdenton, MO; and his sisters, Annette Sieve (Jim) of Defiance, MO, Bethany Bowen (Curtis) of Camdenton, MO and Angela DiMercurio (Chris Zwolak) of St. Louis, MO. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hutson Funeral Home (601 Main St, Steelville, MO 65565). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. The military honors will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery. A burial will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at the same location.
Memorials may be given to Shriner's Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
