He was predeceased by: his parents, John William Payne and Bertha Venora Payne; his former wife Patricia Ann Payne; and his stepson Steve Dobkins. He is survived by: his wife Sharon Payne of Steelville, MO; his children, Jerry Payne (Susan) of Charleston, IL, Mary Locke (Brad) of Ellisville, MO and James Payne (Anita) of Katy, TX; his stepsons, Jim Dobkins (Becky) of Colstrip, MT and Will Dobkins (Jamie) of Ava, MO; his sister Edna Huggins (William) of St. Clair, MO; and his grandchildren, Michael Payne (Keri), April Ramelli (Nicholas), Jacob Payne, Jocelyn Hill (Jacob), Katie Locke, Sarah Locke, Sammy Dobkins, Angus Dobkins, Darla Robertson (Chris), Brandon Locke (Katie), Justin Locke, Tyler Dobkins and Chelsea Runyan. He is also survived by 8 great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
