We announce the death of John Sam Pate (Stockton, Missouri), who passed away on June 17, 2026, at the age of 86. John Sam will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Pate and Marjorie Pate. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Cowan; his children, Sandra Aldridge, Stephanie Wells (Gordon), John Michael (Pam) and Piper Barry (Randall); his grandchildren, Chelsie, Sawyer (Danielle), Dustin (Alexis), Kelsie, Addie (Trevor), Ryan (Rachel), Jackson (Katie), Samantha and Payton; and his great grandchildren, Mallory, Zoey, Janey of Wynston, JP, Millie, Kholey and Tyler.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the John Sam Pate Memorial Fund at First Southern Baptist Church in Stockton, Missouri.
