He was predeceased by: his parents, Arvil Wilson Carter and Wilma Carter (Talent); his wife Phyllis Marie Enochs; and his siblings, Wilson Carter, Tony Carter, Faye Carter and Debbie Carter.
He is survived by: his children, Michele Dunn (Leslie) of Park Hills, Angie Brinkmann (Chris) of Columbia, Keith Carter of Farmington and Kim Collins (Chris) of St. Charles; his grandchildren, Jimmy, Ashlee, Steven, Tina, Grace, Josh, Briana, Mercedes, Tyeler, Hunter and Jesse; his great grandchildren, Brayden, Chase, Roman, Lydia, Cas, Aurora and Hazel; and his sister Lavada Galyean.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Stover City Cemetery.
