He was predeceased by: his parents, Jimmy Gene and Wanda Cine Mahurin; his siblings, Bobby and Joyce Patton; his brother-in-law Sam Deckard; and his pet Harley.

He is survived by: his sisters, Jeanne Selby (Ken) of Rogers, Ark and Debra Deckard of Strafford; his aunt Fern Musteen of Falls Church, VA; and his friend Bill Taylor. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
