He was predeceased by: his parents, James Paul Cox Sr. and Christa Marie Cox (Lambeth); his wife Anne (Brown); his sister Susan Mabe (Cox); his stepmother Alleen Cox (Pearce); his aunt Deborah Lambeth; and his cousin Gary Sahmel.
He is survived by: his godson Sean Wood; his children, Lore Robeson (Cox), Emily Harris and Timothy Hamp; his daughter-in-law Ashley Hamp; his granddaughters, Callie and Clara Hamp; his brother James "Jim" Paul Cox Jr.; his sister-in-law Nancy Cox (Weeks); his nieces and nephews, Elizabeth Page, Amy Hoffman, Janis Michelle Ellis, Jeff Cox and Daniel Mabe; his brother-in-law Terry Mabe; his uncle Forrest "Sonny" Lambeth (Jane Lambeth); and his cousins, Jennifer Sahmel, James "Jim" Lambeth and Jonathan Lambeth. He is also survived by many great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.
The family requests that donations be made in Gary's memory to the Missouri Kidney Foundation.
