Bates of Sullivan, Missouri, born in Stanton, Missouri, who passed away on May 26, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, George Bates and Edna Bates (Chrisco); his grandparents, James, Mary Bates, Francis and Sarah Chrisco; and his siblings, Emmett Bates, Sadie Dunn, Henry Bates, Nancy Kontz, Norma Schneitzer and Carol Sohn.

He is survived by : his wife Ina Bates of Sullivan, MO; his children, Dianna Lovell (Derrick), Roger Bates (Crystal) of Valley Park, MO, Glen Bates (Trisha) of Fenton, MO and Angela Jacobson; and his sisters, Grace Stahlman and Ellen Bates. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild.
