We announce the death of Dorothy C. Smith (Sullivan, Missouri), who passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 93. Dorothy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Paul C. Smith; and her parents, John Haase and Hertha Haase of Bourbon, Missouri.. She is survived by: her sons, Kevin Smith (Debora), Paul J. Smith (Allison) and Bruce Smith (Jodi); her grandchildren, Melissa Smith, Julie Waldecker (Brian), Caroline Althage (Tim), Thomas Smith, David Smith (Cameron) and Nicole Sauerwein (Kyle); her great grandchildren, Sophia Sauerwein, Oliver Althage, Charles Althage and Danielle Waldecker; and her sister Evelyn Gili (Richard). She is also survived by many loving sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Eaton Funeral Home (347 N Clark St, Sullivan, MO 63080). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 12th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation.
