Gene Donner Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gene Donner of Sullivan, Missouri, who passed away on February 22, 2026, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Donner and Veronica Donner; his daughter Melissa; his siblings, Marvin Donner, Jim Donner, Stanley Donner, Vince Donner, Joan Carroll and Leora Arens; and his brother-in-law John Homeyer.

He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Homeyer; his children, Matt Donner (Melissa) of Sullivan, MO and Cindy Holdmeyer (Paul) of Washington, MO; his grandchildren, Cooper, Camryn, Cash, Cambell Donner, Logan Holdmeyer (Tara) and Evan Holdmeyer; his great grandchild Eleanor; his brothers, Frank Donner (Libby) of Pennsylvania and Bobby Donner (Pat) of Tennessee; his siblings-in-law, Geraldine Donner of Union, MO, Barb Kassebaum (Marvin) of New Haven, MO, Carolyn Kluesner (Herb) of Washington, MO, Julie Solomon (John) of Philadelphia, Nannette Homeyer of Florida, Tom Homeyer (Jeri) of Union, MO, Herb Homeyer (Lisa) of Washington, MO, Bill Homeyer (Elaine) of Villa Ridge, MO, Dale Homeyer (Kathy) of Washington, MO and Dave Homeyer (Sarah) of Washington, MO; and his close friend Jim Wurst (Brenda) of Potosi, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
