He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Douglass and Hazel Douglass (Morgan); his siblings, Howard Douglass Jr., Frederick Douglass, George Gough, Russell Douglass, Harry Douglass, Robert Douglass, Richard Douglass, Ronald Douglass, Donald Douglass, Dorothy Hubert, Florence Douglass, Violet Scibilia, June Adams and Virginia Adams; and his parents-in-law, Clifton and Audrey Stein.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Stein; his sons, Ronald Douglass of Farmington, MO, John Douglass (Ewelina) of Odenton, MD and Barry Douglass (Amber) of Purdy, MO; his grandchildren, Lilia of Odenton, MD, Elli Douglass of Odenton, MD, Destiny Miller of Tennessee and Taylor Gregory of Branson, MO; his great grandchildren, Avery and Stevie; his sisters, Hazel Allen (Tom) of Bowling Green, KY and Ethel Skalski of Toms Rivers, NJ; and his brother-in-law Russ Stein (Donna) of Sullivan, MO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Eaton Funeral Home (347 N Clark St, Sullivan, MO 63080). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 29th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be given in Gerald's memory to the Sullivan United Methodist Church Backpack Program.
