He was predeceased by: his father George Hecht; his wife Pauline Hecht; his mother Gertie Hecht (Mesger); and his brother Gerald Hecht. He is survived by: his stepsons, James "Ron" Politte (Debra) of Defiance and Kenneth "Kenny" Politte (Vicki) of Sullivan, Missouri; his niece Janice Landwehr (Mel) of Sullivan, Missouri; his grandchildren, Kurt Politte of Union, Jason Politte (Terri) of Floristell, Matthew Politte (Mina) of Wentzville, Micah Politte of Sullivan, David Politte (Kelly) and Jan Blankenship of Sullivan, Missouri; his great grandchildren, Nicholas, Zachary, Trey, Gabby, Mia, Isabella, Eli, Chazeray, Kennedy, Carter, Henry, Kacelyn and Nevaeh; his great great grandchildren, Kale, Kori, Carson, Locksley and Roderick; his great-niece Amy Gozia (Donnie) of Sullivan, Missouri; and his great-nephew Greg Landwehr (Wendy) of Sullivan, Missouri. He is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Eaton Funeral Home (347 N Clark St, Sullivan, MO 63080). A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
