Barbara Huiskamp Thoma Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barbara Huiskamp Thoma of Sunrise Beach, Missouri, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 13, 2026 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Christian and Lucille Magdalene Miller Huiskamp; her husband Louis B. Thoma; her son Samuel Christian Poe; and her brother-in-law David Gudgel.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Crew (Tom) of Keokuk, Iowa, Tim Poe (Rhonda) of Warrensburg, Missouri and Dana Boots (Gary) of Quincy, Illinois; her grandchildren, Brian, Sarah, Luke, Zack, Andrea, Aaron, Cody, Cory and Gregory; and her siblings, Tina Gray (Dave) of Show Low, Arizona, Tom Huiskamp (Verna) and Leah Gudgel. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be made to Keokuk Public Library or to Hoerner Y in Keokuk.
