He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Ann; his mother-in-law Florence Wendling; his brothers, Howard Sharper (Mae), Elmer Sharper (Doris) and Richard Lou Ness (Mary); his siblings-in-law, Elmer Wendling (Mildred), Clarence Wendling (Delma), Phyllis Lockwood and Harold Wendling (Arlene); his siblings' children, Dean Sharper, Randy, Bonnie Wendling, Richard Ness Jr., Jarod Gossage and Haley Wendling; and his great great grandchild Caleb Klanke.
He is survived by: his daughter Marla; his son-in-law Ken Miller of Sunrise Beach, MO; his siblings-in-law, Ray Wendling (Toni) of Vero Beach, FL, Eldon Wendling of Kankakee, Doreen Wendling of Peoria, IL, Sharon Metcalf (Ben) of Dripping Springs, TX, Fred Wendling (Sharon) of Bonfield, IL and Linda Gadbois (Barry) of Bourbonnais; his grandchildren, Shawn Miller (Tammy) of Paducah, KY, Sarah Miller of Dunnellon, FL, Matthew Diefenbach (Betty) of Flora, IL, Jeremy Stell (Brandi Coveyou) of Kankakee, IL and Justin Stell (Kylee) of Camdenton, MO; his great grandchildren, Tiffany Reynolds (Deke) of Paducah, KY, Zachary Craig (Elle) of Lawrenceburg, TN, Ashton Wooden (Dallas) of Mt, Trevor Craig of Paducah, KY, Alec Craig of Kuttawa, Spencer Miller (Sami) of Castle Rock, CO, Caitlyn Klanke (Nick) of Clay City, IL, Olivia Stell of Camdenton, MO, Carter Stell of Limestone, Zoey Coveyou of Limestone, Landyn and Aidyn Coveyou of Tampa, FL; and his great great grandchildren, Lucas, Garrett Reynolds, Daxx Craig, Dameon, Draegan, Max Wooden, Noah, Chloe Hewkin, Brilee, Azarrah Craig, Aiden Craig, Holden, Barrett and Colter Klanke. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Lutheran Social Services or Central Missouri Youth Foster Program (CCYP), which provides resources to 17 – 26-year-olds as they age out of Foster Care to enable them to become independent adults, memorial gifts will be collected at the funeral services.
