It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Richard K. Shimamoto of Sunset Hills, Missouri, who passed away on March 15, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his wife Vicky; and his parents, Naokichi "George" Shimamoto and Kimi Shimamoto. He is survived by : his daughters, Sherry Leitl (Herman) and Cindy Shimamoto; his grandchildren, Seth (Abby), Wesley Pratt, Mickey, Kiera, Cody Hosack, Brooke (Brett), Blake Bauza and Adam Leitl; and his siblings, David Shimamoto (Joyce Scherzer), Ed Shimamoto (Diane Broughton), Lois Adams of Bella Vista, AR and Lynn Shimamoto (Don Brubeck) of Seattle. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.

Dick would welcome donations to the Missouri Botanical Garden, Japanese American Citizens League or a charity of your choice.
