He was predeceased by: his parents, William Henry and Lena Opal Luttrell; his wife Jeanne Waterhout; Rachel "Rae" Simpson. He is survived by: his brothers, Arthur Tennyson Luttrell and James Walter "Jay" Luttrell; his daughter Nancy "Rae" Luttrell; his brother-in-law Art Rola; his nephews, Danny Pettit and Jon Simons; his granddaughter Katie; his son-in-law Tom; his grandchildren, Danny Pettit, Katharine Rachel Luttrell Pettit, Emilia Luttrell Pettit, Grace Luttrell-Pettit Eberle (Patrick Eberle) and Rachel Barbara Eberle; Nancy and Susan Luttrell Simons.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, January 15th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Bopp Chapel (10610 Manchester Rd, Kirkwood, MO 63122). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, January 15th 2026 at 12:30 PM at the Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery (2900 Sheridan Rd, St. Louis, MO 63125).
Donations can be made to any deserving animal shelter and to Greater St. Louis Honor Flight.
