He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Evert Hicks and Effie Olivia Green Hicks; his wife Adeline Hicks; his son Robert Craig Hicks; his granddaughter Ralinda Fiene; and his siblings, Kenneth, Len Hicks, Fordia Glanville, Fern Schultz, Lorene Simmons, Irene Huber and Reva Dubbins.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Hicks Evans of Concordia and Kevin Hicks (Julie) of Sweet Springs. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to the Sweet Springs Baseball Team.
