He was predeceased by: his parents, James Salmond and Shirley Salmond; and his brother Ronald Salmond. He is survived by: his sons, Jeffrey (Loida), Joshua and Jacob (Stephanie); his wife Mary; his grandchildren, Taylor, Tyson, Tinley, Troy of Norman, Okla., Mason, Lily, Adalyn of Lee's Summit, Landen, Nathan of Indianapolis and Gabrielle Meeks (Cole); his great grandchild Lucas of Fort Wayne, Ind.; his brother Larry Salmond; his brother-in-law Bill Schrimpf (Tina) of Oakville; and also Jessica Salmond (Jesse Belknap) of St. Petersburg, Fla.. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
During the pandemic, he started his "podcast" to talk about his life growing up, recording videos to send to his family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.
