It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Virgil Lee Mather (Tarkio, Missouri), born in Maryville, Missouri, who passed away on November 15, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Virgil E. Mather and June A. Mather (Powell); his sister Tammy Moore; his sister-in-law Susie Mather; his niece Stacey Knop (Mather); and his nephew Jeremy Mather.

He is survived by : his former life partner Ruth Ann Hodge; his children, Mistie Rightsell (James) of Tarkio and Randy Mather of Tarkio; his grandson Christopher; his siblings, Gary Mather (Tammy), Kenny Mather, James Mather (Susie), Phil Mather (Maria), Steve Mather (Barb), Marilyn Hicks (Melvin), June Tucker (Dave) and Connie Gebhards (Ed); and his brother-in-law Duane Moore.
