She was predeceased by: her parents, Mose Brewer and Bernice Brewer (Clark); her husband Thomas "Tom" H. Powell; and her sisters, June Harpole, Verdie James, Geraldine Wylie and Linda Gaye Brewer.
She is survived by: her children, David W. Powell, Stephen P. Powell and Susan M. Powell; and her grandson Ben D. Powell. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
