He was predeceased by: his parents, James Ard Hoyt and Thelma Irene Rolen Hoyt; his son Bryan Cody Hoyt; his siblings, James Henry Hoyt and Dorothy Ann Hoyt; and his brothers-in-law, Dr. Elmer H. Shaw, Earnest Holloway (Bud) and Rex Stevens.
He is survived by: his wife Shelia Marie Heilig; his children, Christy Newland (Peter) of Berlin, NH, Brandon Hoyt (Nicki) of Hampton, VA, Austin Hoyt (Sarah) of Killeen, TX, Justin Hoyt of Mammoth Spring, AR, Destini Thompson (Jared) of West Plains, MO and Cruz McDermott (Lauren) of Jonesboro, AR; and his siblings, Ruth Stevens, Janet Bowers (Calvin) of Thayer, MO, Cynthia Holloway of South Pekin, IL, Garry Hoyt (Barbara) of Paducah and Paul Hoyt (Emily) of Columbia, TN..
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel (827 Chestnut St, Thayer, MO 65791). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Pleasant Hill/Ary Town Cemetery of Thayer, Missouri.
