He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin E. Bussell, Sr. and Lorene June Bussell (Day); and his son Michael Dean Bussell. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Bussell; his children, Terry Bussell (Colleen), Tammy Pressley (Les) and Bucky Bussell (Kerry); his siblings, Danny Bussell (Dolly) and Barbara Cox; and his granddaughters, Amber Knapp (BJ), Ashley Osgood (Brooks), Amanda Roberts (Jamie), Andrea Dodson (Trent) and Heather Graham (Aaron). He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Carter Funeral Home Chapel, West Plains, Missouri (827 Chestnut St, Thayer, MO 65791). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
