The memory of Gerald Lee Jones of Thompson, Missouri, born in Mexico, Missouri, who passed away on November 18, 2025 at the age of 80, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. Though Gerald may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gerald touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Woodrow and Irene Jones (Slonaker); his sister Irene Louise Gordon; and his brother-in-law Oscar Ray Black. He is survived by: his sister Marjie Kay Black of Columbia; and his brother-in-law R. M. Gordon of Centralia.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 10:50 AM at the Pickering Funeral Home (403 N Western, Mexico, MO 65265). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Elmwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Mexico Senior Nutrition Center.
