James Cochran Anderson III Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Cochran Anderson III of Thompson, Missouri, born in Springfield, Illinois, who passed away on October 3, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Barbara Peirce Anderson; his brother Robert Anderson; and his nephew Robert Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Carleen Rempel Anderson; his children, James C., MD Anderson, IV (Jennifer) and Susan Peirce Inge (Stephen); his stepchildren, Christine Rempel Waldrop (Craig), Theresa Rempel Grover, MD, Elaine Rempel Melliere (Michael Sr.) and Brian Paul Rempel; his grandchildren, Jeremy Anderson (Lauren), Riley Anderson (Erin), Grace Wightman (Jake), Evan Inge and Aiden Inge; his stepgrandchildren, Nicholas Waldrop, Brooke Grover-Myer (Michael), Keaton Grover, Michael Jr. Melliere (Anna), Mary Melliere, John Melliere and Peter Melliere; his great grandchild Genevieve Anderson; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Josephine, Theodore and Gabriella Melliere; his sister Janet Meany; his brother-in-law John Peirce; his pet Jenny; and his daughter Susie.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Manchester United Methodist Church (129 Woods Mill Rd, Manchester, MO 63021).
