We are sad to announce that, on January 2, 2026 we had to say goodbye to Alta Schofield of Thornfield, Missouri. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Calhoun and Dora Calhoun; and her brothers, Lendon, Dean, Max and Gary.

She is survived by: her husband Johnny Schofield; her children, John (Heather) of West Plains, Jason (Julie) of Noble and Johnetta of Thornfield; her grandchildren, Branetta, Lendon, Chase, Tyrone, Hurley, Brandon, Gannon, Oaklyn, Aubree, Savannah, Karyme and Bella; and her brothers, Ervin, Sherman and Vernon.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being taken at Clinkingbeard's to help the family with costs.
