He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Hays and Lucy Hays (Carpenter); and his wives, Judy Oehrke and Karlyn Dawson. He is survived by: his daughters, Stephanie Hays (Wayne Riekhof) of Lincoln and Jennifer Fletcher (Shane) of New Bloomfield, Missouri; his sister Virginia "Ginger" Priest of Rolla, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Holden, Lucy Riekhof, Blaine, Tyson Fletcher, Mason and Ella Carlson.
