She was predeceased by: her parents, Kermit Wales and Lillian McCartney Wales. She is survived by: her significant other Billy Jean Tharp; her daughters, Cheri Baker (Bruce), Toni Kelly and Roxi Powell; and her grandchildren, Corey Owens, Amy Owens, Clint Stiles (Erika), Blake Stiles (Ashley), Mackenzie Sutterer (Alex), Halee Walker, Sam Stiles, Landon Oliphant, Brogan Owens, Wesley Stiles, Wyatt Stiles, Kaison Oliphant, Preston Sutterer and Remi Sutterer. She is also survived by several nephews, and a niece.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to First Christian Church, Jewett Norris Library, or Green Hills Animal Shelter in Trenton, MO.
