She was predeceased by: her parents, John Mehess and Bessie Mehess (Bouzanis); her husband Vernon Prewitt; and her siblings, Mary Glarum, Gus, George, Tom and Art Mehess.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Ann (Larry McCoy) of Troy, MO and John (Carol Prewitt) of Edmond, OK; her grandchildren, Amanda (Scott Shelmire) of Wentzville, MO, Michelle (Keith Slagle) of Wentzville, MO and Jonathan (Allie) of Piedmont, OK; and her great grandchildren, Landon, Brayden Shelmire, Hailey, Maci Slagle and Lainey Prewitt. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends.
