He was predeceased by: his parents, Elise Hughes and Howard; his wife Martha Lejane Hughes; his children, George Thomas Hughes and Molly Kay Kientzy; and his siblings, William Hughes, Jimmy Hughes and Margaret Turner.
He is survived by: his son Gerald Kent Hughes (Belinda) of Kevil, KY; his brother Kenneth Hughes of Springfield, MO; his grandchildren, Jessica Baugh (Danny), Jennifer Frost (Mark) and Austin Hughes; and his great grandchildren, Carson, Carter, Camden, Hunter and Evelyn. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and friends.
