Margie Chilcutt Obituary
Mrs. Margie "Louise" Chilcutt, age 89 of Troy, MO passed away on Friday, December 30, 2010. Louise was born November 16, 1921 in Guy, Arkansas a child of Cecil and Jessie (Poole) Rowlett. She was raised with her two sisters, Odean, and Sandra, along with her two brothers, Elmon, and Cecil Jr. After attending the local schools she went on to attend some college courses.
For a brief period she worked as a school teacher. Louise married the love of her life, Delbert Chilcutt, December 22, 1943 in Arkansas. To this union two daughters were born, Janet and Renee. She focused fully on her duties as a mother and wife. Louise was an excellent cook and canned vegetables from her abundant garden. She loved to care for her garden, go fishing, crochet, and knit.
Louise's favorite television program was the Lawrence Welk Show. She will be remembered lovingly by all those who knew her. Louise is survived by her two daughters, Janet (Bill) Todd of Troy, and Renee Chilcutt of Warrenton, and one granddaughter, Jenna Louise Stonebarger of Warrenton, and two sisters, Odean Benson of Rector, Arkansas, and Sandra Petty of Marmaduke, Arkansas.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Delbert Chilcutt, and two brothers, Elmon James Rowlett and Cecil Rowlett Jr. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Greenway, Arkansas.
