He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Griesbauer and Lena Griesbauer (Hakenwerth); his son Dean Griesbauer; his son-in-law Gil Hampton; and his siblings, Francis Griesbauer, Arthur Griesbauer and Dorothy Lohman.

He is survived by: his wife Celine Griesbauer (Dames); his children, Vaughn Griesbauer (Denise), Zane Griesbauer (Jennifer), Bernadette Hampton, Colleen Justin, Tara Krout (Dale), Natalie Cook (Kyle), Ava Pfeiffer (Ryan), Mia Lorenzo (Bill Reidy) and Kendra Banning (Jay); his great grandchild Preacher; and his siblings, Delores Gnade and Marvin Griesbauer. He is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren.
