He is survived by: his wife Janet Basse; his children, Lynne Koepke (Ed) of Union, Tom Basse of Wright City and Jim Basse of St. Peters; his grandchildren, Dustin DuVall, Derek DuVall (Kaydee) and Amiee Blackburn (Connor); his great grandchildren, Melody, Madelyn, Callen, Audrey and Camelia; his siblings, David Basse of Belle and Janette Tschannen (Jack) of O'Fallon; and his brothers-in-law, Paul Tucker of Glen Carbon, IL and James Riegert of Alton, IL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Oltmann Funeral Home (103 N Church St, Union, MO 63084). A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Franklin County Humane Society.
