He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Thompson; his children, Carla Lampkin (Greg) of Union, Brenda Overschmidt (Charles) of Union and Chris Thompson (Dawn) of Union; his grandchildren, Sydney Skubic of St. Louis, MO, Ryan Overschmidt of Union, MO, Jessica Evans (Jackson) of Jefferson City, MO, Andrew Overschmidt of Union, Jared Overschmidt of Union, Matthew Lampkin of Union, Amelia Thompson of Union and Katelynn Stewart; his sister Mary Kleekamp; and his siblings-in-law, JoAnn Smith of Union, Rosemary Brautigam of Union, Ann Brautigam of Union, Linda Kassmann of Union, Shirley Brautigam of Union and Jerome Brautigam (Doris) of Union. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A rosary will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 3:45 PM to 4:00 PM at the Oltmann Funeral Home - Union (103 N Church St, Union, MO 63084). Visitation will be held on Friday, November 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Immaculate Conception Church (100 N Washington Ave, Union, MO 63084). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 from 12:15 PM to 12:45 PM at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery (704 Clearview Dr, Union, MO 63084). A reception will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the American Legion Post 297 (205 N Washington Ave, Union, MO 63084).
