He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Prater and Myrtle Prater (Hartwell); and his siblings, Opal Puttin, Dorothy Prater, Joy Venable, Billy Prater, Harvey Prater, Freddie Prater, Robert Prater and Paul Prater.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Prater of Union; his children, Rhonda Bailey (Jason) of Union and Jimmy "Dale" Prater (Amy) of Sullivan; his grandchildren, Chase Bailey, Madison Prater, Lincoln Bailey, Wyatt Prater, Porter Bailey and Charlotte Prater; his siblings, Sue Berry of Imperial and John Prater of Arkansas; and his sisters-in-law, Pansy Prater of Union and Hazel Prater of Gerald. He is also survived by nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.
