She was predeceased by: her parents, Effie Marie Thompson and Floyd Thompson; her husband Clarence Howard; her sons, Douglas Edward Howard and Larry Michael Howard; her granddaughter Tania Lynn Howard; and her siblings, Viola McCain, Jean Baker, Dorothy Gilmore, Virginia McIntosh, Glodeen Ritter and Floyd Thompson.

She is survived by: her daughter Karen Masters (Jerry); her daughter-in-law Sherry Beard Howard; and her granddaughters, Yolanda, Nena, Sherri, Heather, Debbie and Dione. She is also survived by 26 great-grandchildren and 29 great great-grandchildren.
