He is survived by: his wife Lanett Gortney of Union; his children, Emily Gortney (Nathan Smith) of Union and Caleb Gortney (Amanda) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Jackson Gortney, Lynnlee Smith, Braxton Gortney, Harper Gortney and Charley Gortney; his brother Farrell Gortney (Nancy) of Illinois; his mother-in-law Hettie Becker of Union; and his sisters-in-law, Laurie Becker (Darrell) of Villa Ridge and Louise Maciejewski of Washington. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Oltmann Funeral Home - Union (103 N Church St, Union, MO 63084).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Union Food Pantry or to the Franklin County Humane Society.
