He is survived by : his wife Gale Lee Claggett of Union, MO; his children, Jonathan Claggett of Phoenix, MD and Jennifer Hampton (Daniel) of Darlington, MD; his grandchildren, Donald Hampton of Darlington, MD and Dora Hampton of Darlington, MD; and his sisters, Linda Scharfenberg of Union, MO and Lauri Deaton (Bob) of St Clair, MO..

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Franklin County Humane Society and Four rivers genealogical society.
