Virginia Ruth Cronin Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Virginia Ruth Cronin (Union, Missouri), who passed away on December 9, 2022 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Walter Meade (Ethel) and Ethel Meade; her former life partner Edward Scharfenberg; her husband Tom Cronin; her daughters, Diana Zahner and Debra Cronin; her stepsons, Mike Cronin and Jim Cronin; her grandchildren, Jimmy Kelley, Rebekah Scharfenberg and Josh Scharfenberg; and her children-in-law, Linda Scharfenberg and Don Zahner.

She is survived by : her children, David Scharfenberg (Nancy) of Washington, Dale Scharfenberg (Marsha) of Cuba, Raymond Scharfenberg of Union, Gary Scharfenberg (Lynn) of Union, Annette Kelley (J. C.) of Mt. Sterling and Patty Schuttenberg (Ted) of Union; and her stepdaughter Kathy Minks of Union. She is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Compassion International (compassion.com) or the Franklin County Humane Society.
