He is survived by: his wife Sandra Byers; his sons, Greg West of Unionville, MO and Scott West (Jolynn) of Des Moines, IA.; his grandchildren, Alicia Penton (Will) of Stuart, IA, Scott West of Winterset, IA and Kenzie Rank (Steven) of Parkville, MO.; and his great grandchildren, Jackson, Brooklyn, Kai, Lydia, Chloe and Claire.
